William “Danny” D. Dorrell, Sr.

William D. Dorrell, Sr. “Danny” (77) of Alloway, NJ was welcomed home to the Lord on October 18, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born and raised in Alloway, NJ where he happily spent his life married to his wife Susan, raising his children and grandchildren. Dan graduated from Woodstown High School in 1964 and enlisted in the Marine Corps in February of 1967 where he served as an equipment mechanic in Vietnam. After serving, he married his wife Susan on October 30, 1971, and they raised their three children in Alloway. Danny drove as a tractor trailer driver from then until 2022. He was an active member of his church Victory of Assembly of God, where he worshiped, volunteered, and attended. In spare time, he and Susie enjoyed volunteering on various mission trips with Samaritan's Purse to help communities across the country. Danny’s biggest pride was his family and Philadelphia sports. If he was not watching an Eagles or Phillies game, he could have been found spending time with his family, at church, or watching any type of sporting event for his grandsons, or watching his granddaughters dance.

Danny is survived by his wife Susan Dorrell,  three children; William
Dorrell (Kathy), Lois Dorrell Yarrington, and Suzanne Dorrell along
with his seven grandchildren; Ryan Dorrell (Taylor), Megan Truster
(Gavin), Colin Dorrell, Kara Yarrington, Maggie Mello (TJ), Ethan
Dorrell, and Mason Murray. He was predeceased by his mother, Hannah Dorrell Robinson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 28th at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am at Victory Assembly of God Church at 258 Landis Ave Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
