William G. Wygor, age 66, of Pennsville passed peacefully just steps from his second home, Delaware Park Racetrack.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William and Doris Burr Wygor. Bill spent most of his life in Salem, NJ, graduating from Salem High. Bill was a warehouseman for Performance Food Service in Swedesboro, NJ for over 30 years retiring in 2019 and moving to Pennsville. Billy was an avid sports fan, best known for his love of the Green Bay Packers as well as Notre Dame football and NY Rangers Hockey. Billy was an expert handicapper who spent countless weekends at Del Park enjoying the races. Billywag was honest, hardworking, charming, loved animals, music and could party with the best of them, you never had to wonder what was on his mind, he shared his opinions freely. He is survived by his brothers, Ed Wygor (Carolyn) of Vineland and Charles Wygor (Kim) of Salem; and his sister, Linda Walters (Herbert) of Pennsville.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Tilbury VFW on Saturday, June 22th from 3pm – 6pm.
