Wendy Jo Stoms

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Jo Stoms, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Wendy passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 63, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Doris Shuman and was born in Florida, though she spent most of her life in the fields and farms of Salem, NJ. Wendy is survived by her loving husband, John Stoms; her cherished children, Shelby and Jagger, and her son-in-law Joe. Her family was her world, and it was abundantly clear to all who knew her how deeply she loved them. Wendy’s love was a quiet, unwavering force that gave her family a sense of security, warmth, and endless affection.  

Wendy was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the smallest of things - whether it was skillfully coloring illustrations, crafting beautiful creations, hiking in the serene woods, or tending to her garden. Nature was her greatest inspiration, and she saw beauty in every detail of the earth around her. She often found peace in the quiet moments, connecting with the natural world in a way that made it feel like home.

Wendy’s gentle spirit, kindness, and love will continue to live on in her family who loved her dearly.  Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who truly knew her, and the beauty she found in nature will remain as a testament to her soul.  When you find yourself missing her, that is where you’ll find her. Rest in peace, Wendy. You will always be in our hearts.

Services will take place at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem NJ 08079(located in Quinton Twp.) on Friday, March 7th at 2pm, with visitation beginning at 1pm until the time of service.
