Theodore Louis Stanko (Ted), age 64, passed away on December 21st 2022.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Mary Stanko. Raised in Menio Park, NJ, "where Thomas Edison invented the light bulb" as he liked to tell people, he was proud of his education from St. Ladisiaus Elementary in New Brunswick and St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen. He moved to Salem County in 1984 and never looked back. He and his wife of 36 years, Dawn, made their home in Quinton where they raised five children. He was employed by PSE&G for 15 years before pursuing his dream of self employment doing what he loved - IT and customer service. A past president of the Salem Rotary Club, he also coached midget football in Salem, soccer in LAC and was a certified archery instructor for 4H. He was an avid music fan, and loved watching football, with the Beatles and the Raiders being his absolute favorites. He leaves behind his wife, Dawn and his children, Theodore G. (Amanda), John, Charles, Marissa and Cecilia. The family wishes to sincerely thank Cumberland Manor for the wonderful care, compassion, and respect they gave to him.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 29th 2022 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079, (Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
