Sylvia Anita (Jorgensen) Wiker

Sylvia Anita Jorgensen Wiker, age 83, passed away following a short illness on April 16th 2023 in the presence of her family at Golden Rehab and Nursing Facility, Salem NJ.

Anita was born August 18th 1939 in NYC, NY.  During her life she worked as a My Bell operator in NYC, at the generating station for Triad, Butler Gardens making flower
arrangements, but mostly Anita dedicated her life to her family. Prior to her move to Florida, Anita was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Friesburg where she helped organize the Luther League for teens and a member of the Alloway Vets Ladies Auxiliary.  Once in Florida she became a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo. Moving back to New Jersey she resided in Swedesboro to be closer to her family.  Anita enjoyed her family, friends, ceramics, the beach, wineries, reading and her faith. Never meeting a stranger.
Anita was predeceased by her beloved husband of 27 years, Richard A Jorgensen of Mannington, NJ also
her second husband of 24 years, Richard L Wiker of Seminole, FL.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Orlena and Leo Roman; in-laws, Harold and Mildred Jorgensen; and siblings, Robert Roman, Elaine Klein and Maryanne Mathison.
Anita is survived by her daughters and son in laws, Karen and Randy Denelsbeck of Evans of GA and Cheryl
and Phil String of Quinton, NJ; her pride and joy grandchildren,
Philip and Erica String of Mullica Hill, NJ, Courtney and Eric Arthur of Middletown, MD, Heather and Taylor Holland of Sarasota, FL, Kaitlyn and Gary Gardiner of Greenville of SC, Kyle String of Quinton, NJ; and great grands, Peyton and Willow Holland of Sarasota, FL

A Viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 20th 2023 at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) followed by a Celebration of Anita's Life at 11:00. The burial will be at Emanuel Lutheran Church of Friesburg, 366 Cohansey Friesburg Rd., Elmer, NJ after the Celebration of Life.
