Shirley B (Benner) Lewis

Shirley B. Lewis, Wife of the Former Mayor of the City of Salem, Kenneth R. Lewis, Sr, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2020.  
 

Born in Salem, NJ, she was the daughter of Louis & Louise Benner.  Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth R. Lewis, Sr. 

Shirley is also survived by her children, Kenneth R. Lewis, Jr. (Karen) of Gilbertsville, Pa., her daughters, Lynn Hall (John), of Pennsville and Jill Horner (Brian), of Newark, De. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren (Gina, Eric, Kenny, Monika, Kenneth III, Sandy) and 4 great grandchildren (Cora, Harrison, Kolette and Isabella).  

Shirley 's brother, Louis Benner, (Carol Benner residing in Fl) and her nephew also named Louis Benner, preceded her in death.

Shirley’s loves were spending summers in Cape May, reading a good book and spending quality time with her family. 

A graveside service, open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ.
