On December 6, 2023, Bob gained his wings and peacefully went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on February 1, 1976, in Stratford, NJ, he was the son of Barbara and Hartley Turner, and the late Thomas J Dougherty III. Bob grew up in South Jersey and lived in Nesco, Berlin, and Lindenwold. It wasn't until he moved to Pennsville that he would meet his soul mate, Carla in 1998. They started as friends but by 1999 they knew they were meant to be together, Bob once said he had prayed that he would end up with Carla. In 2005, they married and welcomed their son, Brayden Thomas in 2012. Bob was a loving, hardworking, devoted Father and was so proud of his family. The best days of his life were spent with Brayden and Carla, they were practically inseparable. They could be found watching Brayden play soccer or baseball, playing video games, going fishing, and building Legos. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bob always enjoyed his annual visit to see his family in South Carolina where his parents, twin sister Marie, brother-in law Jeremy, and nephews and nieces lived. Bob loved shooting sporting clays with his brother, Tom, and their friends Mike and Bob, he looked forward to it every time they went out. He had a passion for cars and enjoyed making improvements to his Infinity. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Dougherty III, his maternal grandfather Henry Weber and his maternal grandmother Marie Weber, paternal grandfather Thomas Dougherty Jr and paternal grandmother Josephine Dougherty. He is survived by his soul mate and wife Carla, his loving and caring son Brayden, his wonderful parents, Barbara and Hartley Turner, his wonderful mother-in-law Pat, loving brothers and sisters, Marie Dougherty (Jeremy aka Sausage), Tom (Susan), Melissa and Hartley (Heather), and nieces and nephews who all loved their Uncle Bob very much. He was also blessed to have so many friends. Bob attended Camden County Vo-tech. Bob worked for Walmart, Advance Auto Parts, and Xylem, Inc. Most recently he worked with his good friend Mike and then his sister Marie and brother-in-law Jeremy at M&J Auto Parts in South Carolina.
A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date.
