Richard Thomas Neuroth (Rick), age 75 of Mannington Township passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2021.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late T. Vincent and Kathryn McIntyre Neuroth of Salem, NJ. Rick attended Salem City Schools; St. Mary’s grammar school & Salem High School (class of 1964). After graduating from Salem High School, he worked for the Andrews Oil Company of Salem right out of high school, and thereafter for the E.I. Dupont Chambers Works site retiring in 2003 as a Clerical Team Manager at the Consolidated Warehouse with 39 years of service. Right after his retirement, he worked for the Allstate Technical Services Company as a consultant for the Dupont SAP R3 implementation at the Consolidated Warehouse, finally retiring in 2005. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era and worked for the Chief of Staff, Manpower Control Office as a Table of Distribution Analyst at Fort Dix, NJ, as permanent party; discharged as a Spec 5 in 1967. He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church of Salem, the Salem County Nature Club, the Senior Circle, and the American Legion.
Rick loved his beautiful home and property at ‘Country Lane’ where he entertained and enjoyed his family and friends for many occasions over the years. He enjoyed extensive world travel especially his tour of the Holy Land and St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, TN and music. He kept in touch and cherished his many long-time friends. He was known for his wit and special smile which he shared with everyone. He touched the lives of many people and tried to always be there for people. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brother; Vincent F. Neuroth of Browns Mills and his wife Addie; his brother-in-law Dave Tarry, nieces, Denise Michele Tarry Parkell Wilcox of Lawnside, NJ and her husband Eric and Denise’s sons; Andrea Lynn Neuroth Hudson of Logan Township and her husband Henry and daughters; Megan Neuroth Santiago of Carney’s Point and her husband Carlos and sons; his nephews, David Duane Tarry and his wife Janie of North Carolina; and Donald Michael Tarry and his son Craig of Harmersville, NJ. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Barbara Ann Neuroth Tarry, many relatives and friends and especially his wonderful companion/pet, Crystal, his “angel of love” and most devoted friend! Throughout his life he always had the time to say, “Thank you, Jesus”.
Rick would like to offer his most sincere thanks to his dedicated doctors and staff; the excellent and professional care and concern by the nurses of same-day surgery; ladies from hospital admittance and lab technicians and staff from Salem Medical Center; his most caring and helpful neighbors; his family and dear friends. Each of you have given him such joy and blessings each day of his life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30PM, Monday, August 23rd, in St. Mary's Church, 25 Oak Street, Salem. Friends may call before the Mass from 11:30AM to 1:00PM, at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Quinton. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of the Donor's choice.
