Philip "Flip" Stuart Obituary

Philip J. “Flip” Stuart, age 83, of Pennsville went home to his Lord and Savior on March 24th.

Born in South Milwaukie, Wisconsin on September 5, 1936 Flip was the son of the late Herald and Ethel (Coffin) Stuart. Flip moved to Salem County as an infant and graduated from Woodstown High School where he excelled in baseball and football. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. Upon returning, he married the love of his life Phyllis “Tickle” Smith, who he was married to for 61 years. He retired from NJ Bell Verizon after 39 years of service. He loved to fish and never missed an opening day of trout season. Flip always had a smile on his face and a great love for God. Flip and Tickle enjoyed spending time in Disney World with family. He will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his son Jim Stuart (Lisa) of Mannington and his daughter Tracey Stuart of Hamilton Township, grandchildren Tyler and Jenna Stuart, Jayson, Sabourin, and Gracie Roberts, his brother Herald “Stu” of Florida, and sister Joyce Lee of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. Flip was predeceased by his parents, his brother Walter, and sisters Marjorie and Larraine.

Burial will be private and a memorial service will be at a later date.
