Patricia Racer

Patricia Racer, age 78, of Pennsville passed away Sunday, May 2nd in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Born in Woodbury, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Rhodes Daugherty. Mrs. Racer was a 2nd grade teacher for St. Mary's Regional School of Salem.  She attended Salem Community and Glassboro State Colleges. Patricia was a parishioner of St. Mary's, Queen of Apostles and St. Gabriel Churches.  She enjoyed gardening, her cats and lunch with her girlfriends. Patricia is survived by her sons, Robert Racer( fiancee, Kim) of MD, John Racer (Kathleen) of Alloway and Michael Racer (Kathy) of Pennsville; brother, Dr. William Daugherty (Marcia) of NC; sister, Cheryl Samuels of WV; grandchildren, William, Rebecca, Jarred, Savannah, Austin and Zack. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 7th in St. Mary's Church, 25 Oak St., Salem, NJ 08079. Friends may call at the WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the mass.  Contributions in Patricia's memory may be sent to the Salem County Humane Society, PO 214, Game Creek Rd., Penns Grove, NJ 08069.
