Marjorie Ann Crane Obituary

Marjorie Ann Crane, age 87, of Alloway Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer, NJ.

Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma Loll Petschel. Margie lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she poured her heart into raising her children—especially during the many years her husband Bill served overseas. As a proud and resilient military wife, Margie embodied grace, independence, and unwavering support.  Margie found joy in needlepoint, and lovingly created personalized Christmas stockings for each member of her immediate family—a tradition she carried on until she was no longer able. These treasured keepsakes are lasting symbols of her love and creativity.  She also shared a passion for travel with her husband, Bill,  and together they explored many destinations, creating cherished memories over their 66 years of marriage.  Before her retirement, Margie worked as a realtor with Century 21 in Woodstown, NJ, through which she formed many lifelong friendships. She was also a faithful member of Alloway United Methodist Church, where she found strength, and faith in her church family.

Margie is survived by her husband, William B. Crane, Sr.; her sons, William B. Crane, Jr. (Loree) and Mark S. Crane (Nancy); her daughter, Kelly Ann Mayhew (Dennis); her sister-in-law, Barbara Petschel; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren who will always carry her memory in their hearts. She was predeceased by her brother, William Petschel.
