Marian (Holmes) Bacon

Marian Holmes Bacon, age 93, of Salem passed away Monday, September 13th at her home. 

She was born in Woodstown on April 6th 1928 to the late Linda Mae Goforth and William L. Holmes, Sr.  Marian was their fourth daughter.  At the age of 16, she moved from Woodstown to Salem with her family in 1944.  She was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) L. Bacon in 1988; her brother, William Holmes, Jr. (1995); and her sisters, Anna Mae Rone (2004), Mary Ellen Margargal (2018) and Viola Nickerson (2019).  Surviving are the children of Marian and Jack:  Beverly A. Rivera (Louis), John L. Bacon, Jr. (Marianna), Linda M. Bacon and Edward W. Bacon (Pamela); grandchildren, Donald Schultz (Denise), Denise McNulty (Bryan), Melissa Rivera (Antonio), John L. Bacon, III (Lisa), Jared Bacon (Mindy), Kimberly Bacon, Joel Bacon and Tara Bacon; great grandchildren, Jackson Schultz, Haley Schultz, Dylan Rainear, Jared Bacon, Jr., Antonio Rivera, III, Jaxon Jaquays, Noelani Rivera, Elias Rivera and great great grandson, Clark Rainear; her sister, Joan Sharp and sister-in-law, Martha Bacon Rogers; as well as many Bacon and Holmes nieces and nephews. 

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions in Marian's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, 90 Market Street, Salem, NJ 08079.
