Margaret LaSpina Obituary

Margaret Mary LaSpina, age 80, of Pitman, NJ passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Golden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mannington.

Born in Altoona, PA she was the daughter of the late John
and Mary Ergler Cross.  Margaret was an assembler for Honeywell in Blackwood, NJ.  She was a member of the Pittsgrove Baptist Church and the ladies Bible Study.  Margaret LaSpina was known to everyone as "Peggy".
Peggy lived in a way that the Bible calls, “excellent”.
She loved Scripture and clung to the truths in it. Through all her studying, she developed a knowledge of God’s Word that was amazing. She seemed to always know just the right Scripture for each situation. Anyone who went to her with a troubled heart would walk away with hope. She lived  in such a way that Christ Jesus was evident in her life. She truly trusted the Lord with all her heart as Proverbs 3:5 commands. Peggy loved her family deeply and it brought her great joy to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her church family were also very dear to her, especially the ladies of the Bible study that she attended.  She will be greatly missed by all those to whom she encouraged and helped.

She is survived by her sons, John Cottrell (Bernadette) of Egg Harbor Twp. and Michael LaSpina (Jeneen) of Pitman; her daughters, Toni Hubschmitt (Mark) of Alloway and Cheryl Skorpil (Eric) of Woodbury; brother, John Cross (Peggy) of Lewes, DE; sister, Patricia Foose (Jim) of New Orleans, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Robert (Eileen) of Radnor, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held promptly at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 30th in Pittsgrove Baptist Church, 368 Daretown Rd., Elmer, NJ 08318.

There will be no Visitation.
