Louis Sanflippo Jr, 82, of Elsinboro passed away peacefully at home on Sunday December 20, 2020.
He was born in Camden, New Jersey to Louis and Lillian Sanflippo on November 20, 1938. The family moved to Elsinboro in 1943, where Louis spent the last 75 years on the farm that he loved so much. He started working on the farm at 6 years old and continued up until a few years ago when his health wouldn't allow him to do the things he loved to do. In addition to working on the farm, he was a mason and joined the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers in 1966. His skills in masonry work were remarkable. After his retirement in 1998 he enjoyed doing a side job every now and then and continued to work on the farm. Our dad was not only the strongest, toughest, most honest, and hardest working man you could ever meet, but also, quietly and humbly the kindest and most generous soul you could ever meet.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Joann(Little) , his children Sheree Durant, Teri Mecholsky, Louis(Juls), and Kristen Troy(Jay). His grandchildren whom he loved wholeheartedly, Al Mecholsky, Lt. Col. James Covey, Marco Devane, Michael Goslin and his Kyle, his right hand man, whom he had the most special bond with since he was old enough to hold a level and trowel. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Lillian Sanflippo, his sister Lillian Taylor, and grandson Ronnie Devane.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to St Jude's children's hospital which our father routinely did.
