Loretta Coblentz Obituary

Loretta Elaine Coblentz entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 22nd. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Loretta Niblock, and her husband of 62
years, Robert Coblentz. She is survived by her sons Alex “Chuck” Coblentz (Jean), Paul Coblentz (Bobbi), and Harry Coblentz (Amy); grandchildren Alexandra Winchell (Joe), Danielle Coblentz, Harrison Coblentz, Robert Coblentz, Katherine Coblentz, Ty Coblentz, Lane Harvey; and great grandchildren, Scarlett and Maverick Winchell. Special thanks to her caregivers, Mary Hampton, Bonnie Shimp, Marge Thompson, and Eleanor Harvey.

Born and raised there, Elaine lived in Quinton most of her life, and was a lifelong member of Quinton United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school
teacher, musician, and lay delegate to the Annual Conference. Among other things, she was a Den Mother, member of the PTA, cheerleading coach, softball player, and avid golfer. She was an active member of the sorority, Beta Sigma Phi throughout her adult life. Elaine and Bob Coblentz were members and held leadership
positions at Salem Country Club for decades. First as “Mom” and then “Mom Mom,” she was a beloved pillar in the life of her family, supporting every sport, activity, and endeavor her sons and grandchildren took part in. From 1989 to 2016, she and Bob spent the winter months in Florida, where they were an active part of the Suni Sands Mobile Park community on Jupiter Inlet.
