Obituary

Lillie E. Mulford, age 91, of Alloway, passed away Sunday, June 25th, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary Peterson Earnest.  "Aunt Lil '' as she was known by many, was the store clerk for Bud's Market in Alloway before her retirement. She was also a former employee of the Salem County Vocational Technical School district.  Lil enjoyed trips to the casinos, and she was an avid Phillies and Cowboys fan.

She is survived by her sons, William Bechtold of Pennsville, Robert Bechtold of Alloway, David Mulford (Kimberly) of Alloway and Edmund Mulford of Alloway; her daughter, Ellie Spence of Pennsville; grandchildren, Will (Amy), Erin, Mazie, and Molly; great grandchildren, Jaysen, Jessica, Jadee, Skyler, and Kai. In addition to her parents, Lillie was predeceased by her husband, David Mulford; her brothers, John and Adam Earnest; her sisters, Mary Atkinson and Ida Smith; her son-in-law, Robert Spence.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 30th at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 NJ-45, Salem, NJ 08079.
