Obituary

Lawrence ‘Larry’ C. Ballentine, age 62, of Vineland, New Jersey, passed away on April 22, 2023 after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Larry was born in Woodbury and attended Sterling High School. He served in the Army National Guard for four years. After his service, Larry worked as a truck driver and mechanic for most of his life. Larry had a passion for barbecuing, hot wheels and the outdoors. He enjoyed tending to his farm animals, walking the zoo, or crabbing with his kids and grandkids. He could spend hours in the yard playing with his grandkids as if he was one of them, making lasting memories on any ordinary day. ‘’A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.’’ Our stories are endless because of him. Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Donald and his son, Vincent. He is survived by his wife Mary; children, Chris Ballentine (Lauren) and Rebecka Ravior (Chris); his mother, Helen Mathis; siblings, Jerri Stokes (Jim), Laura Howell, and Michelle Gwin (Howard); grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Damien, Logan, Annabelle, Vincent, Abel, Elizabeth; and his nieces, nephews, cousins and more. Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
