It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Keith Muhs, a devoted husband and father, after a long courageous battle. Keith died peacefully at his home in Pennsville with his wife Lisa by his side. Keith was known for his incredible sense of humor, quick wit, hysterical sayings, and Houdini-like disappearing acts. Keith enjoyed golfing with his friends, fishing, and spending time at the beach with his family. He could often be seen driving around town with his beloved greyhound, Laylah. Keith was born in Salem on May 8, 1963 to his parents Joseph and Eleanor Muhs and was a lifelong resident of Pennsville. He was an amazing student athlete for Pennsville Memorial High School graduating in 1981 then played collegiate baseball for St. Joseph’s University graduating in 1985 with a degree in marketing. Keith then worked for several years for Atlantic City Electric before moving on to work for Bank of America for many years as a VP credit officer. Keith was an amazing athlete and avid sports fan listening to sports talk radio and collecting stats on every Philadelphia team. Keith was most well known around town as “Coach Keith” because of his many years coaching Pennsville Midget Football and Pennsville Little League. His dedication to the community of Pennsville was ongoing. Keith was a devoted family man, especially to his wife and two daughters, Sarah and Rebekah. He attended every recital and dance competition and was a proud dance prop dad. Keith also tended to pull his Houdini acts during these events, appearing exactly when his daughters were performing and then disappearing to reappear at just the right moments, usually watching from a balcony that no one else knew about. Keith was extremely funny and loyal and had a large group of friends that he considered family. Keith was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Eleanor Muhs. Keith is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa Schrier Muhs, and his daughters Sarah and Rebekah. Keith is also survived by his sister Judith (Wayne) Markus of Alabama and nephews Jason (Melanie) and Jeremy, his sister Cindy (Mike) Oliver of Alloway and nephew Samuel (Amanda); His mother in law Eileen Schrier of Carneys Point; His sisters in law Linda (Craig) Wittmann and nephews Craig Jr., Collin, and Chad and Denise (Keith) Myers and
nephews Brandon and Ethan.
