John H. Willis, Sr.

John H. Willis, Sr., age 84, of Salem passed away Wednesday, September 16th in Cooper University Medical Center, Camden. 

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Theodore and Muriel Vanaman Willis.  John was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran.  Before his retirement, he worked as a machine operator for Anchor Glass for 40 years.  John is survived by his wife, the former Elaine Hand; sons, John Willis (Cathy), Mike Willis and Sam Willis; brother, Sam Willis; sisters Wanda Roberts and Thelma Clevenger Roberts; and four grandchildren. 

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 23rd in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where friends may call after 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgove.
