John C. List

John C. List, age 73, of Salem passed away Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, NJ, he was the son of Leonardo J. List and Margaret E. Blitzstein. John was a graduate of Salem High, the
class of 1969. Following high school, he went on to receive a certificate in golf turf management at Rutgers University.
In his early years, John enjoyed spending his time on the golf course at Salem Country Club where he was an avid golfer. John also enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching sports, especially golf, and he was also known to lay down a bet or two. John was a member of the VFW Post 253, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #1966. John was a very giving and caring person who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Margaret (Bridgie), his son, Jeffrey List (Barbara), daughter, Kelly Deputy (Howard). John is preceded in death by his father, Leonardo and brother, Lee List.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 253, 20 Phillip Drive; Salem, NJ on Monday, July 29th from 4 to 7 pm.
