John Kyle Jr. Obituary

John E. Kyle Jr., age 79, of Quinton NJ succumbed to cancer on Saturday December 10, 2022 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family.

John was born on August 29, 1943, son of the late John E. Kyle Jr. and Margaret (Oliver) Kyle of NewPort News, Virginia. John graduated St. Vincent DePaul High School in 1961 and continued on to attend Virginia State Apprenticeship Occupation & Vocational Education Center until 1966. A few years later, in 1969, John enlisted in the Army. He attended the NewPort News Shipyard Welding School while in the army. Once out of the Army, he joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 540 (now Local Union 110) and began his welding career. John was a hard worker. He spent many hours working in a construction environment, therefore, John became a man of many skills. John's skills included, Steam Fitting, Welding, Plumbing, Boiler Repair, Instrumentation, Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Fabrication and Installation, and Maintenance on Piping Systems. He was known to his family as their Jack Of All Trades.

When John was a young man, he had a dream of becoming a professional bowler which was almost achieved, until an accident at work took that dream away. His love of the game stayed strong and he spent a lifetime bowling with his family and on bowling leagues, making special friends, memories, and sharing his knowledge of bowling with many others.

John was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Sports Teams and Nascar racing. When he wasn't watching sports or racing, you could find him outside working on vehicles. John was very knowledgeable about cars and how to fix them so he helped many friends and family with their vehicle maintenance.

John loved his family, he always surrounded himself with them which is where he felt most comfortable and loved. John is survived by his daughter, Dawn (James) Kyle-Wisnieski; his sons, Johnny (Tammi) Kyle and Tony (Melanie) White; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Samantha) Kyle, Chastity (Jacqueline) Ainsworth, Skyy Wisnieski along with many others; his great grandchildren, Isabella Kyle, Anastasia Kyle along with many others; and his stepdaughter, Shirle (Christopher) Orpiano. He is also survived by his sister, Madeleine White; his brother, Robert (Jean) Kyle; many nieces and nephews; and last but not least, his companion and best furry friend of seven years, Rogue Envy. John was preceded by his beloved wife, Dorothy Jane (Watson) Kyle.
