Jennifer Lynn Keen, 50, of Gardner, IL., passed away on July 2, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, IL.
Jennifer was born on October 24, 1969, at Salem Memorial Hospital and grew up in Alloway, NJ. She was the daughter of Betty (Brooks) Keen and the late Robert E. Keen. She graduated from Woodstown High School in 1987, and attended Salem and Cumberland Community Colleges. She was employed by DuPont Chambers Works in security and also waitressed at the Point 40 Diner in Daretown before moving to Illinois in 2008. Jen was a friend to all animals and doted on her dog, Nalla. She loved flower gardening, and traveling to the beaches of Jamaica, Mexico and Belize. She especially enjoyed coming home to visit the Jersey shore, and spending time with her friends and family. She adored her nieces and nephews, and kept in close touch with them through funny text messages. Jennifer loved to laugh and always enjoyed a good joke or prank. She had a true desire to help others, and often sent meals to shut-ins and neighbors, and always shared what she had with those less fortunate. She is survived by her fiancé, Daniel Pulaski, of Gardner, IL, her mother and stepfather, Betty (Brooks) Brennan and Richard Brennan, her sister, Kay (Keen) Mills, her brothers, Benjamin Keen and Christopher Keen and seven nieces and nephews: Amanda (Mills) Kubernac, Kristen Mills, Brooke Mills, Bobby Keen, Nora Keen, Travis Keen and Dylan Keen. She was predeceasedby her father, Robert in 1993.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 10th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 9th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pittsgrove Baptist Church Cemetery in Daretown, NJ.
