Jeanne Bobbitt, 90 years old, of Carneys Point and Pompano Beach Florida passed away on the 16th of January 2021.
She was born to the late Walter and Mildred Nelson on the 1st of August in 1930 in Salem NJ. She was a graduate of Penns Grove High School and a lifelong resident of Carneys Point.
Jeanne is survived by Bruce Bobbitt (Maureen), Brad Bobbitt (Elise), Barry Bobbitt (Tina), Dallas E Bobbitt Jr (Curtis), 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. Jeanne was predeceased by her Daughter Jill Fones (Steve), daughter Sherie Graham (Mike), son Daniel Bobbitt and daughter in-law Sharon Bobbitt.
Jeanne had a wanderlust for road trips. She took her children to every state in the United States and wished there was a road for her to drive us to Hawaii. She was a great baker, loved crocheting and crafting. She was very active in her Florida community where she spent many years on the community’s Board of Directors. Jeanne also enjoyed being Queen of her Red Hats club, and could be found most afternoons at the pool or at her card club. Jeanne always enjoyed being close to the beach, from her earlier years spending summers in Sea Isle City, to her last 31 years spending winters in Pompano Beach, FL. Special Thanks to her wonderful caregivers Forest McKie and Audra Mahoney and her lifelong best friend Alice Cartanza.
Arrangements are being handled by Woodside Funeral Home, and Services are private.
