Jeanette (Rieth) Larsen

Jeanette Larsen (Rieth), age 65, of Mannington NJ, formerly Baldwin NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Jeanette was born at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside NY on 11/15/1957. She was the daughter of Charleen (Hock) and the late Theodore Rieth. She grew up in Baldwin NY with her four other siblings. Jeanette had a passion for all things music and loved to sing and play the flute. Jeanette graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in 1975 where she was a star in the music department. Jeanette could be found singing in the concert choir and playing flute in the symphonic band. After Jeanette graduated high school she continued her musical education at CUNY Queen college where she graduated with her BA in the Arts. Jeanette continued on at Columbia University and graduated with her Master's. Jeanette's love for all things music continued after college where she was part of her best friend Stephen's opera company and was also part of various choirs and choral groups. Jeanette was also a professional businesswoman and served as a Director for a medical billing company for many years. Jeanette also had a passion for football. She was a huge NY Jets fan and could often be seen tailgating at the game with her daughter when they had season tickets or at home religiously watching the games. Jeanette loved being a mother and a grandmother. When her grandson Rowan was born she always looked forward to her play dates with him. Jeanette was predeceased by her ex-husband Thomas Larsen, although they were divorced they remained close until his death in 2019. 

Jeanette is survived by her mother Charleen, and her siblings Theodore, Benjamin (Denise), Walter (Rosalyn), and Samantha (Amanda). Her stepdaughters Marybeth (Matthew) Darcy and Meredith (Thomas) Volpe. Her step-grandchildren Bryce, Angelo, Thomas, Elyse, Julianna, Alexandrea, and Paige. Her Daughter Jessica Larsen (Craig) Master and her grandson Rowan. 

 A Celebration of Life in memory of Jeanette will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 21st 2023 at the Woodstown Moose Lodge, 13 Bypass Rd Woodstown NJ 08098.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jeanette's name to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
