Jane D. (Drummond) Sylvester

Jane D. Sylvester, age 77 of Greenwich passed away Tuesday, December 22nd at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. 

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Drummond.  Jane was sole proprietor of Mad Horse Crab Company in Lower Alloway’s Creek.  She was a member of Eastern Star, Penns Grove Chapter. Jane was an excellent cook.  She was kind and generous and always put others before herself. 

Jane is survived by her loving husband Raymond Sheppard, her beloved Rottweiler Rocco, as well as her cats MomCat, Oats, Buster and Daisey whom she loved dearly.  She is also survived by her son David L. Schaeffer (Allison) of Mannington and daughter MaryJane Schaeffer of Woodstown; grandchildren Rachel, Melissa, Amanda, David and four great grandchildren; her step son Neal Sheppard (Megan) of Greenwich and their two children Gavin and Riley; her mother inlaw Anna Sheppard, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 29th in Greenwich Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jane’s memory to the Salem County Humane Society, 214 N. Game Creek Rd., Carney’s Point NJ 08069
