Jane Pankok, age 63, of Salem passed away on Sunday, January 7th at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Grace Campbell Pankok. She graduated from St. James High School in 1979. Jane was the Registrar of Vital Statistics for the City of Salem. She was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salem. She enjoyed reading and listening to country music. She especially loved spending time with her 16 nieces and nephews and her 11 great nieces and nephews. Jane was an organ donor-donating her corneas through the Gift of Life. She is survived by her brothers, Carl Pankok (Margie) of Newark, DE, Harry C. Pankok (Michelle) of Woodstown and John Pankok (Claudine) of Salem; her sisters, Regina Traini (Tony) of Salem, Clare Klein (Kurt) of Sarasota, FL, Mary Layman (David) of Bridgeton and Maggie Settlemyre (Dave) of Avongrove, PA; 16 nieces and nephews; and 11 great nieces and great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, January 15th in St. Mary's Church, 25 Oak Street, Salem, NJ 08079. Family and friends are invited to visit at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME from 9:30 to 11:30 before the Mass. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Contributions in Jane's memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
