James William Walker, age 74, passed away Thursday, October 6th 2022, peacefully surrounded by His Loving Family.
Born on February 7th 1948 in Waynesville, NC he was the Son of the late Hugh L. Walker & Marjorie Walker (Presnell). James was raised in Lower Alloways Creek. He was a 1966 Graduate of Salem High School. In 1967 he served as a Sergeant In the United States Army & was stationed in Germany. He was employed by and retired from DuPont as an Operator in Deepwater NJ. James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends along with his Loving Dogs, Sophie & Annie. Pop had an extreme passion for fishing, trapping & hunting. Later in life he moved to Melbourne, FL and married his Love, Connie Walker (Williams) who predeceased him in death. He is survived by his Sons, James J. Walker (Sarah) of Canton; Steven Walker (Holly) of Woodstown; Daughter, Bonnie Gehrke (Chuck) of Arizona; Grandchildren, Chucky, Holly, Jimmy John (Faith), Billy, Selah, Zachary & Steven; Great Grandchild, Julianna Rose; Sisters, Elaine Cator of Hatteras, NC, Betty Fischels of LAC & Jackie Johnson (Rick) of Mechanicsburg, PA; His Best Friend, Joe Fahrnbach (Sandy) of Stow Creek. James was predeceased in death by his Brother, Robert Walker.
