James (Jim) L. Renzi, Sr., age 84, of Lower Alloways Creek passed away Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Dominick and Grace Smith Renzi. Jim was a US Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. Before his retirement, he was a supervisor for Dupont, Chambers Works. Later he was employed by B.R. Williams Bus Service of Woodstown, NJ. Jim was a member of, and also served as a Deacon at Tri-County Lighthouse Baptist Church, Deerfield. He was also a member of VFW Post 253 of Tilbury, the LAC Ruritan Club, and a past member of the LAC Fire Department and LAC Board of Education. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, camping and traveling. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Forrest (John) of LAC and Margaret McCormick (Donny) of Pennsville, and his son, James Renzi, Jr. (Sherry) of Franklinville; his brothers, Elwood Renzi (Esther) and Dominick Renzi (Joanne); his sisters, Grace Robinson, Linda Robertson (Frank) and Sandra Renzi; his four grandchildren, Taylor Musero (Anthony), Justin Smith (Elizabeth), Jordan Smith (John) and Charlee Forrest; and his three great grandchildren, Everett, Thomas, and Weston. Jim is predeceased by his wife, Margaret Renzi; his brother, Donald and his wife, Donna.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14th at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (located in Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. A visitation will also be held Friday evening, March 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Woodside Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 Route 45, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.
