James Dwight Dilks Sr., age 68, of Lower Alloway's Creek, passed away Thursday, July 22nd at Inspira Elmer.
Born in Salem, NJ, he was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Doris (Erb) Dilks Moore. Jimmy retired in 2013 after 42 years as a mechanic from Anchor Hocking Glass. He was a member of the Lost Weekends Boys Club, Buckshorn Sportsman’s Club, Salem Boating Club, GBBA Glass Blowers Union and Alloway VFW Post 8224. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, camping, motorcycles, Nascar races, playing guitar, and country music. Jimmy could always be found in his yard or hanging out in his garage. He enjoyed playing his Fender Stratocaster and other guitars. He is predeceased by his wife, Judy C. Dilks of 32 years, his brother, Donald (Ding) Dilks (Nancy). He is survived by his son, James Dilks, Jr. (Krista) of OK; daughters, Andrea Killian Mullen (Chris) of Quinton and Tina Killian Almond (David) of Elsinboro; brothers, Raymond Dilks Jr, (Debbie) of Alloway, Mickey Dilks of Vineland; grandchildren, Amanda Biscoglio, Randy Fisher, David DJ Almond, Michael Almond, Toni Almond, Destiny Dilks, Damien Dilks, Dannica Dilks, Ariana Dilks, Makayla Dilks, Sadie Dilks; and his girls Molly and Dolly.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 29th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Alloway United Methodist Church Cemetery.
