Howard "Russell" Hiles, II, age 47, of Lower Alloways Creek Township, passed away on December 13, 2022.
Russell was a certified HVAC Technician and a commercial crabber. He loved being on the water and outside. He loved taking his dog, Ruby, walks, and rides on the golf cart. He enjoyed deer hunting and was very proud the year he shot a non-typical deer with a bow and won 1st place at a state competition. He spent his time watching Nascar and football and participated in the Nascar and Football Fantasy. In his younger years, he played for the Cohansey Soccer Club and the Bridgeton Midget Football League.
Russell is survived by his son, Russell "Hartley" Hiles (mother, Jen Hedden); his partner, Sheila Bennett; his parents, Howard and Joyce (Franklin) Hiles; his sister, Shea Martino (Mike Mazowski); his brother, Kevin Hiles (Justen); his nephews, Gaillin Hiles (Maddi DiGiorgio), Caden Hiles, Eli Hiles and niece, Cecilia Martino. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Hartley and Frances Hiles; and his maternal grandparents, Owen and Betty Franklin.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Road, Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) at 8:30 pm. Family and friends may visit between 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
