Howard Edward “Ed” Biddle, Jr., age 75, passed into the arms of the angels on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital CCU, surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was born August 20, 1947 in Salem, the son of Howard E. Biddle, Sr., and Constance (Reed) Biddle. Ed worked and retired as a manager for AT&T. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church of Salem, and attended Sharptown Church. He served as a volunteer fireman for many years. He served the youth of the community coaching Salem Little League, Salem Oaks Midget Football, and Salem Church League Basketball. He coached Girl’s Basketball at Saint James High School and Salem Community College, Women’s Softball at Salem Community College and volunteered with the Salem High School Boy's Basketball Team. Ed loved spending time with his family, sharing his love of sports and his summers at Seashore Campsites. Ed was devoted to his family leaving behind his wife of 45 years, Nancy Gail (nee Kline); his children, Tricia Irene Plummer and husband Jimmy, Eric Scott Biddle and wife Heather, Sara Lynn Waddington and husband Ryan, Sherry Biddle and Sean Elwell; his wonderful nine grandchildren, Chelsea, Arty, Eddie, Evan, Madison, Riley, Emma, Olivia and Ella. He, also, is survived by his brothers, William (Carmen), Kevin, Brian (Diane), and a sister Carol Lynn Biddle (Arnold) as well as many other beloved family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Howard E. Biddle, Sr. and Constance L. Biddle, and a son Howard Edward (Eddie) Biddle, III.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 27th in Woodside Funeral Home, 613 Salem Quinton Rd, Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp., Rt. 49) where friends may call after 10am. Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ed Biddle to Guardian Angels Regionals School, 150 S.
