Helen Hemple Obituary

Helen Marie Ritchie Hemple, age 70, of Quinton Township passed away Saturday, May 17th 2025 in Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ.

 

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Dorothy Jones Ritchie.  Helen was a homemaker, caregiver, and local artist.  She enjoyed attending church, listening to oldies music, dancing, spending time with her family and hosting the annual Christmas Eve party.

 

Helen is survived by her children, Ann Laurella (Mike) and Linwood Donald III (Amy); her brothers, Willis Ritchie, Thomas Ritchie, William Ritchie (Leslie), and Joseph Ritchie (Michelle; her sisters, Sarah Brown and Mary Brozoski (Stan); her grandchildren, Alexandria Grisack (Joe), Alexis Kourousis (Nick), Alex Laurella, Alayna Laurella, Kayla Franklin, Brittanie Franklin, and Hunter Franklin; great grandchildren, Levi Mullen, Jr. and Meadow Grisack.  She is predeceased by her partner, Linwood "Ginger" Donald, Jr; sister, Jeannie Piscatell; and brother, Woodrow Wilson Ritchie. 


Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 24th 2025 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd, Salem, NJ 08079 (located in Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Burial will be in Canton Baptist Cemetery, 700 Smick Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (located Canton).
