Harriet A. Compton, age 87, of Quinton passed away Wednesday, September 14 2022 in Southgate Health Care Center, Carneys Point. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Bertha Myers Graves. Harriet was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzle books, eating chocolate and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Every summer weekend Harriet looked forward to going to the shore where her daughter, Robin and her would stay at Green Holly Campground. Harriet is survived by her sons, Leon Werkheiser (Cathy) of Quinton and Dale Werkheiser (Loretta) of CA; her daughters, Robin Simpkins of Quinton and Debbie Burden (Robert) of Quinton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Compton; her son, Norman Thomas Graves; and her daughter, Penny Simpkins.
SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 21st in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove. Contributions in Harriet's memory may be sent to the Quinton Ambulance
