Harold Plummer, age 87, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on March 5th after a short but tough battle with Leukemia.
He was an only child born to Ida and Frank Plummer. After high school, he served in the US Navy. When he returned, Harold worked as a millwright at Mannington Mills for 42 years. When he retired, he went on his dream trip, a six week adventure to Alaska with his best friend and companion, Barbara. Harold went on to farm growing hay and working with his small beef cattle herd. He was an excellent welder, fabricator and mechanic. Harold enjoyed his garden, hunting, shooting and visiting his family and friends. He is survived by his longtime companion, Barbara Mack; his children, Beth Bradway (James), Eddie Plummer (Donna) and Robert Plummer (Lori); seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Harold never met a stranger.
Services were private.
