Hannah H. James, age 92, of Salem passed away Saturday, October 27th in the Memorial Hospital of Salem County.
Born in Elsinboro, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Kate Myers Hogate. Hannah waitressed and did domestic work. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem. Hannah is survived by her son, Peter Cianella of Carneys Point; her daughters, Virginia Peters of Pennsville and Hannah Poole (Francis) of New Castle, DE; sister, Jean Hamilton of NJ; 6 grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Martin; her second husband, Jesse James; bothers, Josh, Francis, Earl and Leroy Hogate; sisters, Caroline Pierson, Pauline McPherson, Mae Keen, Marion Tunstall and Alma Carl.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 2nd in Canton Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Elsinboro Fire Co., 35 Delaware Ave., Salem, NJ 08079.
