Grace (Barger) Lloyd

Grace Lloyd, age 82, of Woodstown, formerly of Quinton passed away Sunday, August 16th peacefully, with Loved Ones in Cooper University Medical Center, Camden. 

Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances VanCulin Barger.  She was a US Army Veteran.  Grace was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, sewing, counted cross stitch and was an avid reader.  She traveled to the Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah Valley and loved her adventures with C & B Tours.  She was an active member of Sharptown United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Woman's Bible Study.  Grace never met a stranger.  Her great grandchildren brought her immense joy in her later years.  Grace is survived by her grandchildren, Steven Shimp, Jr. (Bridget) of Wilmington, DE and Colleen Githens of Pasadena, MD; her great grandchildren, Olivia, George, Scotty and Eden; family friend and caregiver, Lester Shimp.  She is predeceased by her husband, John S. Lloyd; her daughter, Dawn Shimp; son-in-law, Steven Shimp, Sr; and brother, Thomas J. Doran. 
 

Graveside Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 21st in Eastview Cemetery, Salem.  Contributions in Grace's memory may be made to Sharptown United Methodist Church, 24 Church Street, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.
