Frederick R. Weiss, Jr.

Frederick R. Weiss, Jr., age 72, of Lower Alloway's Creek passed away Thursday, February 9th 2023 at his home.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Frederick R. Weiss, Sr. and Verna Simpkins Weiss.  Before his retirement, Fred was the maintenance supervisor for the Penns Grove and Carneys Point Board of Education School Districts.  He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church of Salem.  Fred was a past member of the Elsinboro Fire Company where he served as a past president and an active member and past president of the Salem High School Alumni Association.   Fred enjoyed boating and loved to tinker with all sorts of projects.  Fred is survived by his wife, Shirley Master Weiss; his daughters, Samantha Jany (Rodger) of Cranbury, NJ and Kristina Boyle (Jimmy) of LAC; sister, Connie Weiss of Pennsville; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Sawyer and Kase Jany and Emersyn and Luke Boyle. 

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 13th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Road, Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Hancocks Bridge United Methodist Cemetery.
