Elizabeth Mary Bridgette (Matlack) Gervasoni

Elizabeth Mary Bridgette Matlack-Gervasoni went home to be with the lord on December 1, 2022 after a long illness at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. She was 49 years old.

Born in Woodbury in 1973, She grew up in Pitman, NJ before relocating with her loving family to Richwood, NJ in 1994. She attended Pitman High School where she graduated in 1992. She held two associate degrees from Gloucester County Community College earned in 1994 and 1995. Elizabeth graduated in 1998 from Thomas Edison State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Elizabeth was a technical assistant for the New Jersey State Police where she worked for 17 years before retiring in 2018. 

Elizabeth loved spending time with her loving family and her husband Peter. Her travels took her and her future husband to many places around the world including Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Iceland and Australia. She was an avid reader of magazines and liked to cook and take mini vacations with her husband. Elizabeth was never afraid to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Granddaughter of the late Lawrence and Miriam DeVeitro and William and Helen Matlack, Daughter in Law of the late Richard and Marie Gervasoni. She is survived by her loving parents Russell and Mary Matlack of Lower Alloway’s Creek, NJ, Her loving husband Peter Gervasoni of Ewing, a brother Russell D. Matlack also of Lower Alloway’s Creek and his wife Jennifer, A sister, Jennifer of Valdosta, GA, her nieces Isabella Raleigh of Valdosta, GA and Reese of Lower Alloway’s Creek, her nephews Matthew, Lawrence and Daniel Raleigh of Valdosta, GA, and Blake of Lower Alloway’s Creek. She is also survived by her Aunt Patricia of West Chester, PA, Miriam Rogers also of Pennsylvania, Margaret DeVeitro of Deptford, NJ and Gloria Busby of Ohio, and Aunts, Uncles  and Cousins on both the DeVeitro, Matlack, and Gervasoni sides of the family.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 8th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Salem, NJ. Friends, family, and relatives are welcome to either send flowers or in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, Virginia, 22116-7027.
