Eleanore Rose (Andrews) Carr

Eleanore Rose Andrews Carr, age 83, passed away Sunday, June 4th 2023 at her home.

Born in Salem, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Clarence William Andrews, Sr. and Rosa Louise Ferral Andrews. Before her retirement, Eleanore was employed by Smick Lumber of Quinton as a bookkeeper. She was a Salem High School graduate and a member of the Quinton United Methodist Church where she had served as secretary and attended Bible Study. Eleanore enjoyed her card club with her girl friends, traveling and her Salem High School reunions. However, Eleanore's pride and joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved spending time with.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Carr and Donna Carr both of Lower Alloways Creek and Barbara Carr Bradway and husband, David Bradway of Quinton; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph "Joe" Andrews of Pennsville and John F. Andrews of Sun City Center, FL; sisters, Lauretta Tomsic of Merritt Island, FL and Naomi Fogg of Pennsville. Eleanore was predeceased by her husband, Donald Carr, Jr. in 2021; brother, Clarence W. Andrews, Jr.; and sisters, Leonora Phero and Winifred Glunt. 

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 8th 2023 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. 

Burial will be in the Hancock's Bridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Contributions in Eleanore's memory may be sent to the Quinton United Methodist Church, PO Box 116, Quinton, NJ 08079.
