Edwin "Ted" Woodside, Sr., age 91, formerly of Alloway passed away Thursday, January 23rd in Cardinal Village, Sewell, NJ.
Born in Quinton, he was the son of the late William and Mariah Niblock Woodside. Ted retired from E.I. DuPont Chambers Works where he worked in the engineering department. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War serving on the USS Newport News. Ted was a member of the Alloway Methodist Church where he served on the pastoral board, a member of the Penns Grove Excelsior Lodge No. 54 Free & Accepted Masons, a member and past president of the Alloway Twp. school board, a founding member of the Alloway Twp. Youth League and he enjoyed hunting.
Ted is survived by his children, Ted Woodside II (Terri) of Quinton, Kim Ilacqua (Joe) of Alloway, Tami Papilli (Richard) of Garnet Valley, PA, Todd Woodside (Michele) of Alloway, Donald Woodside (Barbara) of Woodstown; his sister, Marie Garrison of Upper Pittsgrove; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, the former Madelyn Pennington; his sister, Dorothy Cundey; and his brother, Donald Woodside.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 29th 2025 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (located in Quinton Twp) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until time of service and also Tuesday evening, January 28th from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Alloway Methodist Cemetery, 10 Church Street, Alloway, NJ 08001.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Ted's memory to the New Jersey Hospice, 415 West Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360.
