Edward Linski, III Obituary

Edward Linski III, 69, of Pennsville, NJ passed away suddenly on
Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at his family residence.

Ed was born on May 21st, 1955, in Salem, NJ, to Edward Linski Jr. and Mary Claire (Anne) Linski (Dillenschneider). He graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1974, where he was an avid member of the track team, specializing in pole vaulting. After graduating, Ed worked in the family business, "Linski Electric," as well as Dupont for a short period of time, before joining the Salem School District. He retired in January 2024 from Brown & Root Industries in Delaware and was looking forward to overseeing the upcoming Greenhouse project with Mid-Atlantic States Career & Education Center. Ed is a proud lifetime member of the Pennsville Fire Department, where he dedicated many of his younger years to service. Ed was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who spent much of his life hunting and fishing in the meadow with family and friends. He enjoyed visiting local gun clubs, where he had a passion for pigeon clay shooting. He was a "don't throw that away, I can use that" handyman with a green thumb. If he wasn't helping his friends and family with a project or job, you could find him watching NCIS or Yellowstone. His favorite dinner was creating a concoction from whatever was in the fridge that would go ghost into one delicious pot. He would sneak out in the middle of the night to take care of that sweet tooth and always enjoyed a nice cold beer.

Ed is survived by his life partner, Sharen Cline of Salem, NJ, and his children: Kristi Linski of Pennsville, NJ, Lindsay Breslin (Patrick) of Elsinboro, NJ, and Jack Cline (Stephanie) of Millville, NJ. His sibling, MaryAnne Gibson (Dave) of Elmer, NJ also survives him. He leaves behind seven grandchildren - Veronica, Shaun, Wayne, Lily, Jake, Everly, and Henry - as well as four great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Linski Jr and Mary Claire (Anne) Linski (Dillenschneider), and his twin brother, Peter Linski.

Services to honor his memory will be held at Woodside Funeral Home, 613 Salem Quinton Rd, Salem NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) on Thursday, September 5th at 5 pm. Friends and family are invited to call from 3-5 pm.
