Dorothy (Harris) Butler

Dorothy H. Butler, age 88, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, June 5th, 2023.

Dot was born on April 5th, 1935 to Merrill and Catherine Harris. She married E. Wayne Butler on February 11th,1955 and together they owned and operated Butler Gardens for many years. Dot is survived by her brother, Kenneth Harris (Sue); her sister in law, Beverly Harasta; her children, Pam Bowers (Carl), Thomas Butler (Stephanie), and Karen Wildermuth (David). In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Christin Butler, Thomas Butler Jr. (Sara), Daniel Bowers, Mark Bowers (Christina), Lindsey Butler (Roxanne), Kara Straughn (Fran), Kasie Wildermuth and Darren Wildermuth (Leah); also her five grandchildren, Madalyn Butler, Carter and Everly Bowers, Cartier Wildermuth and Alivia Straughn. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and her siblings, Merrill Harris Jr, Franklin Harris, Lester Harris, Marguerite Harris and Virginia Drouin. Dot was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Millville, NJ.

SERVICES will be held Thursday, June 8th at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME 613 Salem Quinton Rd, Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where a Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Burial will be at Eastview Cemetery, Salem, NJ 08079.

Donations can be made in her name to Maranatha Baptist Church Missions, 1524 Bridgeton Millville Pike, Millville NJ 08332. The family would like to thank Angelic Palliative Care and Hospice, the staff at Salem Medical Center and Inspira Mullica Hill for their care for mom.
