Daniel L. Pedrick, age 82, of Quinton, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 on his farm. Born in Salem County, he is the son of the late Harry and Erma Huff Pedrick. Dan owned and operated Pedrick’s Excavating LLC for 25 years. Dan was a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau.
Dan is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former, MaryAnn Monjannis; his sons, Daniel Pedrick (Teresita) and Timothy Pedrick (Michelle); his grandchildren, Sarah Pedrick and Emily Pedrick; niece, Jody Kountz and nephew, Joseph Pedrick and cousin Barbara Shimp. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph.
Dan and MaryAnn had the opportunity to travel the world. Memories were made in 5 continents, from skiing in the Swiss Alps, riding camels in Australia, visiting Europe, catching halibut in Alaska to clamming off of Chincoteague Island. Dan was a true outdoor enthusiast. He shared his knowledge of cattle, horses and life with his family. When his sons were young, Dan helped with the local Cub Scouts in many ways including fundraising with the annual Haunted Barns. He was a former member of the Elmer Grange.
Dan truly loved his farm. Over the last few years, he could be seen driving around on his UTV, tending to his garden, chopping firewood, caring for the horses and enjoying both old and new western movies.
Services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 3rd in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where friends and family may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Salem.
