Charlotte Marie (Gowdy) Hanzel

Charlotte Marie Hanzel, age 79, of Quinton passed away Sunday, July 24th in Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill. 

Born in Wilmington, raised in Woodstown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hannah Stretch Gowdy.  Charlotte was a licensed practical nurse who was employed by the Memorial Hospital of Salem County.  She was also the plant nurse for Anchor Glass of Salem.  Charlotte who enjoyed her cats was an avid gardener and liked to do arts and crafts.  She is survived by her daughters, Susan Williams of Quinton and Michelle Jones-Wilson (Paul) of Allentown, PA; and two grandchildren, Ian and Isaiah.  Charlotte is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Hanzel and her son, William Thomas Williams. 

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 9th in Woodstown Baptist Church Cemetery, 117 South Main Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. Contributions in Charlotte's memory may be sent to Maddie and Friends, 330 Pecks Corner Rd., Salem, NJ 08079.
