Carl G Howell, Sr.

Carl G. Howell, Sr., age 81, of Quinton passed away Saturday, July 31st at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. 

Born in Hopewell Township, he is the son of the late Henry Robert and Nora Lykens Howell. Carl was a retired supervisor for E.I. Dupont Chambers Works. Carl was a member of the Sure Shot Gunning Club, South Jersey Fly Fishers, Quinton Sportsmen's Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #1966. He also was an exempt fireman of the Quinton Fire Co. and coached the Quinton Little League. Carl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice I Howell; sons, Carl Howell, Jr. (Dawn) of Quinton and Robert Howell (Caryn) of Quinton; his daughter, Melissa Newkirk (David, Jr.) of Quinton; brother, Bill Howell (Barbara) of Quinton; sister, Donna Hemple of LAC; grandchildren, Lauren and Kyle, Joshua, Julia, and Jessica, Avery and Owen. 

Services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, August 5th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp) where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Seventh Day Baptist Church in Shiloh.
