Betty Lou Thomas, age 94, of Pennsville, formerly of Salem passed away Monday, March 10th 2025 at her residence.
Born in Salem, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Coville VanNote. Betty Lou was the activities director for Golden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Mannington. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 253, Tilbury. Betty Lou enjoyed the beach, reading, traveling and boating on the "Miss Lou." She always looked sharp from her hair to nails down to her high heels and we will always remember her this way.
She is survived by her sons, Charles L.Thomas (Joanna) of Salem and Frank Thomas (Angela) of Quinton; her daughter, Anna May Welch (Isaac) of Salem; her grandchildren, Tammi, Aaron, Joanne (Jodi), Jason, Joel, Jennifer, Isaac, Lori, Nathaniel; 16 grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Betty Lou is predeceased by her husband, Linwood "Beck" Thomas, Jr., brother George VanNote and her daughter, Joanne Hyson.
Interment will be private.
