Anthony “Tony” Traini Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026.
Born on January 27, 1951, Tony lived a life defined by devotion to his family, love of sports, and a lifelong passion for history and learning. Tony dedicated nearly 30 years of service to PSEG, where he built friendships and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him through his strong work ethic and loyalty. A proud graduate of St. James High School, Class of 1969, Tony went on to earn his degree in History from Saint Joseph's College in 1973. History was more than an academic subject to Tony, it was a lifelong passion that he eagerly shared with his family, passing along his curiosity, knowledge, and appreciation for the stories to his family.
Tony was a devoted and avid sports fan whose love for athletics was woven into the fabric of his family life. He dedicated many years to coaching midget football and Little League for his sons, teaching lessons that reached far beyond the field. His commitment to youth sports also led him to serve as President of the Salem Little League, where he made a lasting impact on countless young athletes and families in the community. Football weekends were spent proudly cheering for his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Philadelphia Eagles, while baseball season meant faithfully rooting for the New York Yankees. More than just a fan, Tony cherished the traditions, camaraderie, and memories that sports brought to his family and friends throughout
the years.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Regina Traini; his three sons, Anthony Traini (Jacquelyn), John Traini (Melissa), and Joseph Traini; and his cherished grandchildren, Dynasty, Dominic, Ayla, and Giovanni, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life.
Tony will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strength, his loyalty, and the traditions and passions he shared so generously with those he loved. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the values he instilled, and the love that will continue to surround his family for generations to come.
