Anna C. Minch Vanderslice, age 98, of Salem, NJpassed away on Sunday, November 30th 2025.
Born on May 13th, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anna was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cecelia Kelly Minch. Anna worked as a telephone operator for E.I. DuPont Chamber Works and she also worked as a credit investigator for the Salem Chamber of Commerce. She served on the Salem City Board of Elections and the Salem City Housing Authority. Anna was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for 60 years. She was an avid scrabble player who enjoyed playing with her sister, Helen. Anna loved gardening and traveling with her friends, Doris and Francis Finlaw covering most of the United States.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Elmer (Timothy) and her son-in-law, Thomas Oliver; her grandchildren, Christopher Oliver, Kelly Ray, Carly Reese and Daniel Elmer; and her great-grandchildren, Gage White, Joshua Oliver, Grace White, Sol Elmer, Abigail Oliver, Faye Elmer, Liam Reese, Kip Elmer and Adelyn Reese. Anna is predeceased by her husband, Milbourne T. Vanderslice who she was married to on October 4th 1947 and her daughter, Sharon Oliver.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 9th in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 25 Oak Street, Salem, NJ 08079 where family and friends may visit at the church from 9:30 until 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
