Allen “Honky” Finlaw

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Allen “Honky” Finlaw, age 88, of Millville NJ announce that he has gone to be with the Lord on Monday July 26th, 2021.

Allen was born and raised in Canton NJ and was the son of the late Frank and Hattie Finlaw. He served in the US Army and after his return he worked for Hitchner’s Furniture Store where he learned the trade of floor covering. He later opened his own business and installed carpet for over 30 years. Allen never missed an opportunity to pitch in any adult softball league and loved the game! He was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in his yard. You could always count on seeing Allen in church on Sunday mornings and he would love to spend time at the beach.

Allen is survived by his wife, Beverly (Platt); daughters, Gail Finlaw of LAC and Cindy Moore of Woodstown; son Allan Finlaw of Florida. Also, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Freeman, and Louis Finlaw.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 31st at the Canton Baptist Cemetery.
