Sir Spooky Lee Woodside, age 15, of Salem, passed away in the arms of his family on Friday, September 15th, 2017. Spooky was adopted into his "Forever Family" from Mid-Atlantic Schnauzer Rescue in May 2010. Over the years, Spooky became known as "Spooky Boo Boo," and most notably, "Snack Dog" for his unwavering appetite for chips, and pretzels. Spooky also thoroughly enjoyed Cheerios with his breakfast and visits to Rita's Water Ice where his favorite flavor was "Birthday Cake." Spooky's hobbies included taking car rides, faithfully attending family meals, chasing squirrels, and traveling. Spooky traveled extensively from Vermont to South Carolina to the Jersey Shore and Kentucky. Spooky is survived by his parents, Ted and Terri Woodside; sister, Tara Lee Woodside; brother, Tyler Brandon; niece, Tessa Lee Brandon; uncle Lee Weatherbee; and Schnauzer brother, Max Woodside. Spooky is predeceased by his grandparents, Lee and Barbara Weatherbee.

Spooky's family would like to thank Mid-Atlantic Schnauzer Rescue for their dedication in placing Schnauzers in their "Forever Homes," and for giving so many Schnauzers a second chance at love. For even with pets, grief is the price we pay for love.
